Oh, pretty madras frock, you tempt me so. While your price tag isn't alluring, if I bought you, I could take you to a dressmaker in Hoi An, Vietnam and make perfectly-fitted versions in other silk and cotton prints, maybe an indigo version with superfluous shiny brass buttons, or a pale striped variation, clean and crisp. I could make a longer version, a shorter version, a shorts-jumper version. In other words, I could more than make up for my lacking of sewing skills.
