Some shots from my visit, earlier this month, to Banteay Meanchey communities affected by the Asian Development Bank-funded Railway Rehabilitation Project of Cambodia. Abandoned railroad stations, overgrown with bush. Smiling faces under the sun. A bustling community on the rails.

I'm finally beginning to understand the disconnect inherent in Cambodian development.
