Some recent fabric finds from Russian Market. What to make?

  1. I was thinking of you this morning as I stopped by Pearl Bakery to get my favorite croissants. I remember buying a few pastries there during your move, when I was on my quest to feed you with the best of Portland. Good to see your love for beautiful things hasn't changed.

  2. I love both of these!
Skirt with the brown fabric & dress or blouse with the other. Hope you are well Jocy!

  3. Mami: I remember. Sorry again about that horrible move. :) No, my love of eye candy has not changed at all. If anything, I think all this heavy work stuff has made frivolity and beauty more of a necessity in my life. Life now dictates more bright dresses and shoes!

  4. Jennifer: I'm undecided. I thought of making the tribal print a short dress, but then realized I'm about the color of that brown and, with my braided hair, it might be too literal a version of Pocahontas. So, yes, I think I'll go with what you said.

I'm well, but tired. Hope you are doing well too! I spied some nice prints on your blog.

  5. I love these! I would make a cute fitted tank top and pencil skirt or a nice little dress. I hope you will post what you decided to make!!!!

  6. Delia: I'll definitely post. I'm pretty addicted to dresses here, so I think that blue and pink number will be a dress. I'm figuring out the skirt shape for the tribal print.

    I hope you are well.

  7. No need to apologize for your move. It gave me plenty to laugh about. I still do :) I hear you about having beauty to counter the dark. My life is totally full with tasking work, science classes, and volunteering right now. I'm looking at them to see what needs to give to have good that counters them. I know the answer, it's just hard to let go. Huh, we put so much pressure on ourselves, don't we :)
